As part of Northfields Primary School's 'International Art Week' in June 2018, a series of five tailored Ribeiro art workshops were held, in collaboration with class teachers, for Years 3 to 6 (Key Stage 2 of the national curriculum). The finished artwork was then displayed at the school's Parents’ Day exhibition for families to see and put on sale to raise proceeds for Northside Primary.

Composing Townscapes - Year 3

This workshop for Year 3 (ages 7-8) sought to encourage the class to explore form and colour to create hanging mobiles of city-scenes reflecting London’s skyline. Ribeiro’s mixed media compositional townscapes were used as inspiration.

London Scenes - Year 4

Two workshops were held for Year 4 (ages 8-9) to create A3 townscapes of London’s famous landmarks. Utilising paint, collage and metallic pen, Ribeiro’s early expressionist oil 'stained glass' townscapes were used as a stimulus.

London Cityscapes - Year 5

A workshop for Year 5 (ages 9-10) encouraged the class to compose A3 panoramic townscapes based on recognisable London scenes, using collage and paint to mirror Ribeiro’s abstract townscapes.

Portraits - Year 6

A workshop for Year 6 (ages 10-11) was held to encourage the class to select their choice from Ribeiro’s semi-abstract ‘Heads’ series to create abstract self-portraits that aligned with their own sense of identity, using collage and paint.
